ACHIEVEMENTS
As the president of AIESEC in Switzerland, Uwe launched the AIESEC Alumni Association (AAA) and established the MCP position as full-time and paid.
As the executive envoy he launched and developed LCs in Guatemala.

From 1986 to 1990 Uwe worked for McKinsey & Co in Amsterdam advising multinational companies on strategic issues, particularly in the fields logistics and transportation. Before that Uwe Doerken worked for Deutsche Bank for two years.

In 1991 Uwe joined Deutsche Post as Managing Director of its International Division. Since 1999, he is a member of Deutsche Post World Net’s global executive board.
In 2001, Uwe took over as CEO of DHL Worldwide Express, which is active in 220 countries and territories and often described as the world’s most global company.

With both Deutsche Post and DHL, Uwe launched innovative co-operations with AIESEC, culminating in dozens of successful traineeship exchanges and various special events.

“DHL is very actively pursuing and supporting the worldwide agenda for sustainable growth and tries to be model corporate citizens in all countries where we operate. DHL also plays a role in many spontaneous disaster relief efforts after earthquakes or other natural catastrophes, often by providing our planes for relief efforts and establish means of communications and distribution to the most difficult spots in the world; on the list of the 40 most dangerous country of the world, DHL serve every single one.”
