ING joined the International Presidents Meeting 2006 in the Netherlands where the ING Country Leadership Awards were presented for the first time. ING has also interacted with the AIESEC membership through various skills workshops and sessions at the key global conferences. Since 2006 ING has been present at International Presidents Meeting every year, recognizing AIESEC countries for their leadership.
Since 2008, ING has become the new Global Exchange Partner offering 11 international internships
for AIESEC members around the world. As a part of the ING internship programme, AIESEC members have
the chance to be involved in the ING Chances for Children initiative.
ING Chances for Children is an ING Group corporate program that aims with the help of UNICEF to give 115,000 children access to education in 2007; as well as improving the quality of education in the local communities in which ING businesses are active. In the first year ING and AIESEC offered challenging community-based internships in Chile, The Netherlands, India, US and Korea.
